The European Conference on Personal Protective Equipment (ECPC 2025), which took place between 20-23 May 2025, was organized under the leadership of Dokuz Eylül University Textile Engineering. This conference, attended by Yeşim Eryılmaz, Notified Body and Laboratory Manager and Göksu Özyeşilova, Quality Manager on behalf of USB Certification, is an important platform that brings together academics, industry stakeholders and experts from different countries of Europe and the world.
The theme of ECPC 2025 is “Protective, Smart, Sustainable”, emphasizing that smart technologies enhance safety, comfort and functionality in protective clothing, while sustainable practices bring significant innovations in production and design processes.
The program covered critical topics such as the latest regulations, innovative technologies, sustainability practices, quality management and testing methods in the field of personal protective equipment. The main objectives of the conference were to exchange information among participants, develop industry collaborations and share innovative solutions. ECPC 2025 is an important meeting point that focuses on user protection and comfort, bringing together all stakeholders of the industry such as academics, designers, manufacturers, occupational health and safety experts, public institutions and legislation makers, strengthening international cooperation that shapes the PPE standards of the future.
