New Program from USB Certification Lean DPP Transition & Certification Program Officially Launched

USB Certification has officially announced the Lean Digital Product Passport (DPP) Transition & Certification Programdeveloped in collaboration with Beyond Bar Code. The program offers a fast, scalable and certification-driven compliance process, especially for SMEs and OEM manufacturers, to the Digital Product Passport requirements that have become mandatory under the European Union’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).

As DPP becomes mandatory in many product categories, including batteries from 2027 and textiles from 2030, manufacturers are expected to not only comply but also establish certified systems to prove market differentiation and sustainability performance. USB Certification’s accredited conformity assessment expertise and Beyond Bar Code’s digital identity-traceability solutions combine to offer a 7-stage, modular and “lean” designed transformation path.

The program provides companies with end-to-end solutions such as strategic product prioritization, regulatory gap analysis, supply chain data integrity, DPP architecture design, pilot implementation and certification preparation. There is a fast 8-10 week “Fast Track” model for SMEs and a 12-16 week “Advanced Track” configuration for large manufacturers.

Thanks to the new program, companies will be able to increase their competitiveness in the EU market by establishing a secure and scalable DPP system that is not only compliant with the regulation, but also audit-ready, data-integrated, secure and scalable.
